I have been in my home now for several years now. Each holiday I pull out the same garland and lighted wreath I have used year after year. I thought how can I change my outside Christmas decor. A wreath with a red bow and long ribbon in each window would look beautiful. I counted all the windows and bought wreaths, bows and ribbon. I have double hung windows so it was real easy to open the top portion of the window and using the long ribbon to suspend the wreath I just had to close the window to hold the wreath and hanging was complete. However, sometimes builders throw a curve, I have two front windows that are so high on the inside that a 10 ft ladder would be needed. I do have a deck outside and can get to the windows with a step ladder. But, how do I hang a wreath without opening the windows since that is impossible. Solution: Using velcro I attached it to the backside of the ribbon after putting it through the wreath opening and tying on the bow and then I just pressed the ribbon to the very top of the window. Making sure all the wreaths are the same height and that was it. Easy, fast and looks wonderful.
